Kromek plays a very active technological role in the security market place. The energy selectivity of its core materials makes it perfect for security screening and handheld radiation detectors. Kromek is able to offer a complete system sub-assembly imaging architecture for OEM applications. Various systems are currently available; one is a non-imaging desktop scanner for liquid identification and another is an imaging scanner for screening objects such as mobile phones, liquids, laptops, shoes etc. In addition, a full size baggage scanner architecture with multiple energy levels, multi-view imaging and materials identification software is also available. Other sub-assemblies and detectors are available on request.
