Detector Development Engineer

Kromek is currently looking for an experienced individual to fulfil the above position.  You should be qualified to at least degree level, ideally with PhD or postdoctoral experience in the field of detector development. You will possess significant working experience with II-VI semiconductors (CdTe, CdZnTe, etc.).  You must also be able to demonstrate working experience with the design and fabrication of detectors and associated electronics.  Experience of characterisation techniques, i.e. gamma spectroscopy and mobility lifetime measurements would also be highly advantageous as would the modelling and simulation of detectors and materials properties.

This role will both stretch and develop the candidate. They will be part of a fast moving and innovative worldwide team delivering bespoke solutions to real world problems in the security, industrial and medical fields.
